In the world of Active Threat response training, a change has begun. Multiple security experts agree with Lockdown International that the Run, Hide, Fight program created in 2008 is no longer sound practice. CHANGE needs to happen. That is what Lockdown International provides, “That’s why we exist.”
Here is a simple exercise. Ask a child if they do “Lockdown Drills” at school and have them explain their role. You will hear the vast majority say, “We turn off the lights, stay quiet, and huddle in the back corner of the room. A dangerous, outdated, and passive response to an active problem. Even a novice shooter with little to no training can hit a large stationary target from 25 feet away. So why are we teaching our children to do it?
